Adam Shaw

Founder At Dad's Table

Adam Shaw is a Leith’s trained chef and Dad of 2 boys (3 & 1) who specialises in colourful and healthy pregnancy, weaning and family friendly recipes. He has helped thousands of people around the world to eat well during this exhausting time and his debut cookbook ‘How to Grow your Family’ will be released in March 2022. When Adam’s wife became pregnant for the first time he couldn’t wait to start making healthy and nutritious food for mother and unborn baby. He found a lot of the advice out there to be quite passive (don’t eat shark, eat some greens) so he started creating trimester specific recipes for his wife to accompany her pregnancy. Focussing on what you can have, rather than what you can’t Adam believes in using food as a way to make you feel good and positive about yourself, rather than the opposite. Since his boys were born Adam also began to focus on weaning and family food recipes. He is a regular industry speaker, has been nominated for several awards and has appeared frequently in the media.

Aimee Strongman

Yoga Teacher Founder

Aimee is the Founder of Glow Yoga Studio having trained with The British Wheel of Yoga. This journey we take from maiden to mother is a rite of passage and we need to come back to this ritual of transformation in order to truly understand what it means to bring new life earth-side. Whilst practicing yoga throughout both her pregnancies, Aimee became more intuitive about the female body and found a power and strength, known but hidden. Using the skills of yoga and hypno-birthing to feel confident, safe Aimee birthed both her boys at home. Since then she has found a calling to bring together women in a circle of sisterhood to help guide women into their own power in preparation for their birthing experience. Throughout the last year Aimee has developed her knowledge further by attending many workshops and online trainings to really harness the magic of the body and mind. She has attended Molly O’Brian’s Biomechanics for Birth course to cement her anatomy understanding, joined circles and is a regular panelist on Clubhouse in the Physiological Birth Club.  Aimee wants to be able to share her positive experience of birth and love of yoga with other pregnant women, to help them unveil their true power during their pregnancies, birth and beyond simultaneously creating a nurturing community for new mums as they embark on their Motherhood.  When she isn’t on her yoga mat Aimee loves nothing better than sunshine, a sea breeze, ice cream, dabbling in Tarot, cuddles with her boys and a steaming hot bath with candles all whilst obsessing over birth podcasts and videos!

Alissa Pemberton IBCLC & Holistic Sleep Coach

Holistic Sleep Coach, Lactation Specialist BSc, IBCLC, L5 Sleep Training Course

Breastfeeding has always been a passion of mine. It pains me to hear stories of mothers who ‘couldn’t’ breastfeed, or stopped before they were ready because it hurt too much. If only they had the right support and education – they may have been able to achieve their goal of breastfeeding. I aim to support new parents through my work as a Lactation Consultant & Sleep Coach to achieve their goals. I support families through antenatal education, postnatal breastfeeding support and one-to-one sleep coaching from newborns to five years old. Being a lactation consultant is more than a career to me – breastfeeding & parenthood are areas I am deeply passionate about and experiencing these as a mum of two myself has only increased my resolve to ensure that all parents have access to compassionate, qualified support. My one goal is to provide personalised, compassionate support to mothers throughout their breastfeeding & parenting journeys. No two mothers, babies or families are the same and therefore I never take a ‘one size fits all’ approach. I dedicate my time and expertise to understanding your family and your journey and providing individualised support. My aim is to make those early years of breastfeeding and parenting as easy and enjoyable as they can be! Following my midwifery training, and after developing a passion for supporting breastfeeding mums I began the process to qualify as an IBCLC, which is the highest level credential for health care professionals who specialise in the clinical management of breastfeeding. We are certified by the International Board of Lactation Consultant Examiners. I then went on to complete further study in Tongue Tie Assessment under one of the most well known and respected tongue tie practitioners in the area, and to complete further studies to expand my knowledge and understanding of infant and child sleep. Sleep and breastfeeding are so deeply intertwined, and there is no time in your life when you think (or talk!) about sleep more than as a new parent. As an IBCLC I feel uniquely able to provide sleep support which respects and supports your breastfeeding journey.

Andrea Lewis

Professional Organiser

I set up The Organised Curator as I have a real passion for organising and helping people to get organised. I always loved organising from a young age and as I went through all the different stages of my life, be that at school and university through to organising my own wedding, organisation has always been at the helm of everything I do. My experience of over ten years as a beauty and fashion events designer has armed me with the necessary skills to work with any space, both commercially and privately. I wanted to translate everything I’d learnt from designing events into working with real people in real homes. The Organised Curator was set up after I had my son. I spent the very early stages of motherhood, always tidying up after him and I came to realise that being organised was the best way to approach parenthood. As a new parent, there is so much to remember at all times, so if you can put in systems in place to make life easier for yourself from day one, it’s simply a no brainer to get organised. Getting your home in order can be one of the most feel good exercises you can do for yourself. It can give you a sense of control as well as helping you stay grounded. The best thing I find about the service I provide is that I aim to work with what you already own storage wise. I will always strive to make space in any area that I am working in. By decluttering, you edit your belongings, so you’re left with the ones you know you use regularly and enjoy having around. As a professional organiser, I can help you to get organised in many ways. I can come in and organise your home from top to bottom or I can simply work in any areas that you find too overwhelming to tackle on your own. I help a lot of families to move home too, by decluttering ahead of the move as well as unpacking methodically once they are in their new home.

Annabel Gray

Teacher BA, PGCE

Hi, My name is Annabel and I’ve been a primary school teacher for over 15 years. From the moment I stepped into my first classroom in 2006, I fell in love with teaching. I’ve worked all over London and the surrounding area and have been both a classroom teacher and in leadership. Teaching and learning is my number one passion and for me, nothing beats helping kids to learn something new whilst enjoying the experience. However, with schools so stretched for time, money and resources, I began to explore different ways to help every child flourish in their education. Research lead me to the very real fact that parental involvement in learning is a key indicator for future outcomes. I know first-hand that parents supporting their children can transform their relationship with education but I also know that there isn’t much information out there to help parents support their kids in a meaningful way – a way that can impact their performance and enjoyment in the classroom. So I came up with Bella Learning, a resource with the aim of empowering parents… and as a result … empowering pupils… I believe this can be achieved through: access to expert advice through consultations access to live learning events, such as online parent workshops access to fun, family-friendly games and resources that will have a massive impact on your child’s progress.   I’d love to help you support your child. Don’t hesitate to get in touch!
