Business Bio
Gauri founded Brain-Based Connection® in 2021 following the pandemic, where her direct ‘on the ground’ experience as a mother balancing work and family commitments led her to pioneer her own method to remain connected to herself and her children. Recognising the unique position she had as a mother, a psychiatry doctor with scientific expertise and an academic researcher with insights into evidence and literature on parenting, Gauri developed her own method, which she has now formulated as a coaching programme to support other parents with emotional connection with their children. Gauri is passionate about sustainable mental health, and the importance of the parenting period on transgenerational wellness. She also feels parenting is challenging, and being the hardest thing she has ever done, Gauri is now on a mission to support parents with holistic science for their own wellbeing, as well as that of their children.
Gauri is passionate about supporting the next generation with essential pro-social values such as addressing unconscious racial bias, and celebrating diversity. The parent-child connection is key to promoting an inclusive psychology in the next generation.
Currently, Gauri is appointed as an expert in parents and family wellness at Cognacity Ltd, and advising Shawmind, a UK based charity, on supporting parents with emotional connection. Gauri is also a parent expert for SPARKLE, a clinical trial at Kings College London developing interventions for family wellness.  Gauri is also an affiliate partner at Stickfest LTD, an international talent sourcing group.
