Hello, I’m Angie and I’m at the eco midwife on Instagram and Facebook. I’ve been in NHS, practicing midwife for the last 10 years and also a health visitor. And here are some of my top tips to help you prepare in pregnancy for the postnatal period.

So one of the things I get asked a lot as a midwife is what can I do in pregnancy to help prepare for the postnatal period?

And one of the things that you can do is meal preparation. So thinking about at the end of your pregnancy, putting lots of ready meals in your freezer that you can home cooked so that it becomes easier postnatally because one of the last things you’re going to want to do when you get home with your newborn, whichever way your baby is born is to cook.

So by having those meal preps in the freezer, you will be ready to go so that you can more easily have a good postnatal period.
