WHAT IS BODY TIME? Ayurveda follows an ancient concept during the first 42 days after baby's arrival. Sanskrit calls it Kayalpa. This is Sanskrit for "Body Time". Kayalpa only happens on a handful of occasions throughout the course of a woman's life: when you first get your period, when you choose your life-partner and after each birth. These 42 days form a window of dedication to: • bonding • rest, nourishment & peace • your sacred body • ritual for significance In other words: cuddles, kisses, healing, warmth and significance. Ayurveda’s Birth Portal˚ Preparation Session 1on1

Do I Need a Birth plan? I personally believe you can't *plan* birth. A myriad of things can alter any planned route, so it would simply be counterproductive to rely on 1 method; let alone a whole plan. Preparing for birth is a better choice of word. The birthing process is such a *primordial* event... And guess what, that is exactly where your power is! Getting up close and personal with what's behind your mind, behind your thoughts. Ayurveda's Mind-Body practices can help you tap into your essence, your subconsciousness. And in doing so, a positive birth outcome can start to feel familiar... And to confide in your own body can turn into your default setting. So you can confide in the idea that whatever happens - your body has GOT this. In this session: Ayurveda's Birthing Tools include massage techniques, marma point stimulation, herbal formula's, yoni basti and aroma therapy. You will select the ones to familiarise yourself with. The huge changes that occur in our body throughout pregnancy can sometimes be challenging to adapt to both on a physical and psychological level. Dr Leah has designed the completely unique 4-Pillar approach of the Pregnancy Yoga Plan to encompass 4 essential areas. Including almost 7 hours of video and audio content plus BONUS materials. She created this course using her years of expertise as an Obstetrician and experienced Yoga Teacher and filmed this comprehensive course during her own pregnancy, giving you access to these 4 key pillars: MOVE: 9 yoga classes totalling 5 hours, ranging from 30-55minutes in length and varying in intensity from relaxing bedtime Yin wind down, a gentle preparation for birth sequence, to more active vinyasa inspired sequences focusing on common areas of complaint such as pelvic girdle pain and sciatica KNOW: 4 obstetrician led classes, taking you through the changes that happen in pregnancy all the way through to birth. We include a class to focus on the mechanisms of birth and key yoga poses you can use to help facilitate the experience. BREATHE: 4 focussed breathing classes or pranayama, guided techniques to help with aiding feelings of calm and reducing anxiety, techniques to help in labour and a BONUS class to help you through birth, including techniques that have been shown to reduce the risk of tearing BE: This module focusses on your mental wellbeing and includes 3 classes to help still the mind and help connect in with your baby, including a guided meditation and a downloadable mp3 yoga nidra, a practice unique to yoga, which helps in aiding sleep. Perhaps you’ve never practiced yoga before but have heard of the benefits that it brings in pregnancy and you want to give it a go. Either way, we’ve got you covered. Breaking The Mold Yoga in pregnancy, can mean different things to different people, there is no one size fits all and finding the style that works for you is key. Regular yoga classes may not cater for the changes our bodies go through in pregnancy. Conversely, it’s common to find an approach to prenatal yoga classes where, instead of being treated as a normal physiological state, pregnant women are treated as though they need to be wrapped in cotton wool. We wanted to break away from the mold and find a balance, allowing women to feel energized but also using the opportunity as a way to help connect with your body and your baby. We repeatedly have women telling us how good it feels to actually move in these classes.

Newborn baby sleep education package

This package is for expectant parents and those with babies up to 3 months old, who want to set up great sleep habits from the start. I will explain the importance of sleep and provide you with the tools you need to establish good sleep habits from the start of your little one’s life. This will include setting up an appropriate routine and how to encourage independent sleep. I will also be giving you some important information about safe sleep practises. 30 minute phone/video call. We will discuss these strategies and talk about how to set up an appropriate routine for your newborn. Documented summary of our discussion. Detailed notes of our discussion including a summary of the guidance to support your specific situation. An idealised schedule to support good habits for your baby’s sleep. One follow up phone call. A 20 minute follow up call within the first 3 months of your baby’s life.

Complementary Consultation – 15 minutes

During a short consultation, we'll go over what you've been struggling with and how therapy may help. We'll do this at your pace and talk about what feels okay for you. Once we've established your main struggles and goals, we'll explore how best I might be able to help you and discuss other options that may be better suited to you. I specialise in emotional eating issues that often, but not always, overlap with body image, overwhelm and relationship difficulties.
