When we are going through a break-up or divorce, we have to make a number of key decisions.
It is ironic that, particularly in the early stage of a break-up or divorce where we need to be emotionally strong and able to make these important decisions about our future and the future of our children, we will be at our most vulnerable emotionally.
The fact is, it is very difficult to make rational decisions when we are in a high state of anxiety and feeling emotionally charged. Coaching support during this time will help decrease the intensity of emotion and shed clarity on the situation as well as make it easier for you to deal with overwhelming feelings and stress in order make strategic decisions.
Before our initial session we will have had a relationship clarity consultation (RCC) where we will have discussed your specific coaching needs, the areas with which you most need assistance and addressed any questions you may have had.
Issues may have changed since the RCC and we will work on these issues that you need the most help with at the time of the initial session. It is a very fluid and flexible process and tailored to your individual requirements.
This is an in-depth session where we will work on addressing the most pressing issues you are now facing and steps you can take towards resolving them.
I will listen to your story and ask you a series of deep dive questions to gain clarity on your issues and help you find solutions. I will offer you emotional and practical support and guide you through your options and provide you with tools and tips for you to apply to enable you to move forward and make immediate positive changes.
From there, we will create a simple but effective action plan specific for you for you to work on before the follow-up session (should you require one).
If you are struggling with the pain of your break-up or divorce, feel stuck and unclear about the way forward.
If you feel emotionally overwhelmed and weighed down by a rollercoaster of negative emotions.
If you are heartbroken and still grieving for your relationship and unable to let go.
A divorce or relationship break-up is the second most stressful life event after the death of a loved one. A divorce is the death of a marriage, and a break-up is the death of a relationship.
On that basis, it is no surprise that the emotions we feel will follow the pattern of grief in so many ways.
If you lose someone, you need to grieve that loss and work through your emotions. But with the right support you will be able to move forward and out the other side, and re-create a life where you are thriving.
I look forward to our initial 1:1 break-up and divorce coaching session and to supporting you!
Duration of the session: 90 minutes
