During this session, children will gain an awareness of their self-talk and learn powerful tools to shift their negative self-talk to positive encouragement instead. We will explore the importance of mindset when faced with challenges, understanding the connection between our thoughts, feelings and behaviour.
Children will develop the tools to help them pay attention to their strengths, building on them so that they are feeling confident and empowered. Practical strategies will be taught, supporting them to shift their perceptions, knowing that they have a ‘choice’ with regards to their thoughts and how they respond.
The intention of these sessions for children is to support them too
Increase their self-awareness so that they’re better able to manage their frustrations, worries and anxieties, allowing them to feel calm and respond from a resourceful state.
Increase their confidence and develop a stronger sense of ‘self’, adopting a ‘Can-do’ attitude.
Embrace change and prepare for the next steps in their development. Children will feel more confident and empowered, allowing them to take action and create positive changes, setting them up for the next steps in their development.
Our sessions together are designed to be fun, practical and interactive. A friendly and safe environment is created to allow children and their parents to explore their thoughts and feelings (and laughter is guaranteed!)
All sessions are accompanied by a Power Pack (a downloadable PDF activity pack) to support children throughout their session, an overview Cheat-Sheet sharing the key concepts taught as well as an overview video for parents where additional insights are shared so that they can continue to support their children after the session.
