Dressing you bump this summer – my top 5 tips

  1. It’s very likely you already have some elasticated bottoms, considering the past year, so don’t feel you need to rush out and buy maternity bottoms
  2. Consider buying things that you could wear after your pregnancy
  3. If you love dresses, the shirted ones look really lovely with a bump, they stretch over the bust and fall nicely over the belly
  4. If you are trying to hide your bump in the first trimester, look for patterned fabrics and loose fitting tops. These will disguise any sign of a little bump
  5. Avoid anything that is waisted as it will cut across the bump at a really awkward place and can be unflattering. Instead opt for empire lines or form fitting shapes to show off the bump and still flatter the rest of your figure.
