This handout explains everything about Anxiety! 1. What is anxiety, where does it come from and why is my child experiencing anxiety. 2. It then discusses ways to consider helping your child push through anxiety to become a more confident and less anxious child using many strategies and skills. Examples of these skills are: exposure tasks, building connections, building confidence with rewards and praise and learning all about easing anxiety in the body when it arises. 3. we also consider childhood worry and ways to manage this on a daily basis so that we are teaching children that worry is ok as long as we do not allow ourselves to feel overwhelmed by this worry. This handout is a great start  for learning about childhood anxiety and ways to reduce this anxiety in your child. I also have a three part workshop on anxiety that may also be useful if you want a more in depth look at managing anxiety in your child.
