Hi guys, I’m Nathalie Clough and today I’m here to talk to you about pre and postnatal exercises with pilates and exercises that you can do to help support your body.

So one of the issues that I find with my clients is that they have nichols in their lower back and they find that their lower back starts to ache a little bit during pregnancy and this can also happen after.

During pregnancy, your hips tip forward, which obviously is happening as your baby grows and the amount of pressure that’s put on your lower spine and your abdominals increases.

To strengthen these muscles, you need to work on your lower abdominal engagement and help with them ability in your lower spine that helps counterbalance this and protects your lower back and supports your lower abdominal at the same time.
