Top Tips for choosing a Nanny

• Ask a friend – Recommendations are always the best way to find a Nanny I believe as the person recommending them normally has first hand experience with the person.

• Searching Online – There are so many places to find a Nanny if you have time to look yourself but if you don’t have time to search yourself there are SO many agencies that can do this search for you!

• Qualifications – Ideally you want your Nanny to be qualified up to Level 3 standard as well as having an up to date DBS check and First Aid certificate. Some nannies don’t have a Level 3 qualification but they have been nannying for over 10 years so sometimes experience prevails!

• Listen to your Gut – This is so important for me, you have to “click” with your family. This is because you are working so intimately, you are becoming an addition to their family and stopping into a major role so it needs to feel natural and you all need to fit together nicely.
