WorkshopBlossParenthoodBusiness

Our parental leave coaching programmes will support your employees through their transition to working parenthood, ensuring they return to work feeling happy and set up for success. They also help retain and attract top talent, creating inclusive, family-friendly working environments.

Outline:

We have two flagship coaching programmes: one for those taking long leave (three months and over) and one for those taking shorter leave (under three months). Both are designed to help expectant parents adapt to change, carve out new working-parent identities and set goals for the future.

Topics of discussion could include, but are not limited to:

  • Setting boundaries for leave
  • Preparing for leave
  • Working flexibly/remotely successfully
  • Confidence building
  • Reconnecting with teams
  • Developing a strong personal brand
  • Work-life balance
  • Adjusting to change
  • Defining roles and responsibilities at home
  • Childcare planning
  • Redefining and achieving career goals

How it works:

To introduce the programme, every expectant parent is given an introduction pack that explains what coaching is, how it can benefit them and what they can expect from our coaches. This is followed by a 15-minute intro call to answer any questions and discuss goals for the programme.

  • The long leave programme consists of 4 x 60 minute 1:1 coaching sessions; one before leaving, one during leave and two upon their return.
  • The short leave programme consists of 2 x 60 minute 1:1 coaching sessions between 1 and 6 months after birth.

How it will be delivered:

  • All sessions will be conducted virtually for the foreseeable future.
  • Coachees are given a workbook that they can use to complement their coaching programme if they wish. This includes space to capture their learnings, suggested topics of discussion and recommended resources i.e. relevant books, articles, podcasts.
